Job Summary
Personal Banker role focused on building and maintaining relationships with individual clients, delivering personalized financial guidance, and selling a range of banking products (deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, insurance). Responsibilities include acquiring new customers, deepening existing relationships through needs-based selling, processing transactions per AML/KYC and regulatory policies, handling inquiries and complaints, meeting sales targets, staying informed on market trends and product knowledge, and collaborating with other bank departments to provide holistic financial solutions. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, proven sales or customer-service experience in banking/financial services, strong product knowledge across retail banking, excellent communication and presentation skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or related field
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role within banking or financial services, preferably as a Personal Banker
- Strong understanding of retail banking products and services (deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, insurance)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Demonstrated sales acumen and a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to analyze customer financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ethical conduct and commitment to compliance with banking regulations
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages an advantage)
