Job Summary
Director of Training at Alloy Personal Training in Orinda CA leads studio, drives membership sales, hires and trains staff, and oversees client engagement and retention. Spends 5-10 hours weekly conducting small group personal training (4-6 people) while focusing the rest of the time on growing memberships through leads, community networking, retention, client satisfaction, and staff development. Responsibilities include delivering premium client engagement (In-Body assessments, goal setting, relationship-based model), scheduling staff according to payroll budgets, training and supervising staff, monitoring performance, developing member and employee satisfaction, communicating with franchise owner, solving sales/membership challenges, and driving studio performance. Hours are somewhat flexible. Requires leadership, presales/sales experience, and ability to manage a small team; must be capable of hiring, coaching, and evaluating staff; strong communication and organizational skills; experience with payroll budgets and HR concepts; morning/evening/weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership and sales experience in fitness or health/witness domain
- 3-5 years of management and sales experience, with an emphasis on sales
- Experience managing in a stand-alone, high-end fitness club
- Experience in presales or other applicable sales
- Leadership and development of a small team (2-4 individuals)
- Proficient consultation skills
- Proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness or professional setting
- Ability to hire, direct, coach, train, motivate and evaluate staff
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- Financial, business and human resource management acumen
- Computer literacy
- Morning, evening and weekend hours are required
