Job Summary
Design and implement individualized exercise programs for members based on goals and fitness assessments; collaborate with Wellness Director; greet and engage members; schedule appointments; enforce cancellation policy; report equipment issues; maintain paperwork and assessments; strive to meet sales goals; participate in YMCA events and trainings; requires national trainer certifications (NETA/NASM/ACE/ACSM/AEA), CPR/AED, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention within 30 days; Aqua Specialty if pool-based; a degree in health/science and at least 1 year of health and fitness experience; able to lead sessions, motivate others, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Trainer Certification through a nationally accredited organization including, but not limited to NETA, NASM, ACE, ACSM, AEA
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications within 30 days of hire
- Degree in health and science or related field
- Minimum of 1-year experience in the health and fitness field
