Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one fitness consultations for new clients, including pre-participation screening, medical history reviews, and goal setting to assess and recommend personalized training programs. Develop individualized exercise plans consistent with client fitness goals and demonstrate exercises while providing real-time feedback on proper form during sessions. Instruct clients on the safe use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength equipment while monitoring their progress and fitness levels. Motivate clients to improve overall health and build effective relationships through strong customer service engagement. Track and redeem client training sessions and maintain accurate personal training records. Promote personal training packages and assist with special fitness events. Requires a nationally accredited certification and CPR/AED training.
Required Qualifications
- Nationally Accredited Certification
- Hold a valid certification from a nationally recognized organization, such as ACE, NASM, ACSM, ISSA, or similar
- CPR, First Aid and AED Certified
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, exercise science, sports medicine, or health related field preferred
- Personal training experience preferred
- Knowledge of fitness, wellness, strength, and cardiovascular training
- Personal program design experience, and the ability to use the tools given to optimize client results
- Strong ability to train and manage time, motivating clients in a group setting
- Desire and capacity to coach all fitness levels
