Job Summary
Develop safe, professional client programs that drive goal achievement and retention while monitoring and instructing members on safe equipment use. Conduct fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening, medical history, and lifestyle questionnaires to assess and recommend training. Provide fitness floor assistance to ensure safety, educate members, and motivate them, while fulfilling service requirements such as fitness assessments, equipment operations, and cleaning. Promote and sell personal training programs and services, completing all administrative requirements for each client's fitness plan. Maintain current certifications and industry trends, documenting all aspects of client programming. Earn commissions between 10% and 60% based on productivity with a weekly minimum at applicable minimum wage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of personal training experience
- Certified personal Trainer
- CPR and AED Certified
- Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition and program design
- Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class
- Ability to bend, stand, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
