Personal Trainer

Job Summary
Conduct new client assessments and follow-up phone calls to monitor progress and ensure goals are met. Actively pursue personal training clients, recruit members into activities and events, and provide on-floor instruction while ensuring safety regulations and equipment cleanliness are adhered to. Deliver personalized fitness programs, educate members on incentive programming, and assist with group personal training classes as qualified. Collect fees via POS or manual invoice and distribute marketing materials to communicate events. Maintain visual order of the fitness area and provide service enhancements to members and guests.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (sport science, exercise physiology, human performance, nutrition etc.) and/or have a certification from ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NETA, NASM, Registered Dietician or coaching endorsement
- An Associate's degree in a related field (sport science, exercise physiology, human performance, nutrition, etc.), a certification from ACE, ACSM, NSCA or NASM and 2+ years of documented experience in an exercise related field
- Two national certifications from ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM and NETA and 5+ years of documented experience in an exercise related field
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and kinesiology
- Working knowledge of machine weights, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, and other resistance training tools
- Working knowledge of fitness assessment protocols and testing procedures
- C.P.R. and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Inside (sheltered) work
- On feet or standing
- Lifting (% of time) - Percent of Time: 5% - Maximum Weight in LBS: 45
- Requires frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting - Percent of Time: 75%
