Job Summary
Direct Support Professional provides individualized supports to waiver participants in their own homes or family homes, assisting with activities of daily living, life skills, community integration, and transportation navigation. Responsibilities include documenting services, using agency electronic systems, supporting decision making and self-help activities, following Person-Centered and Behavior Support Plans, attending trainings and team meetings, and maintaining professional communication. Required to have a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, Mandt System training, and own reliable transportation; schedule includes Friday evenings and weekend hours; driving and community interaction are essential. Part-time role based in Clarksville, MD.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have own reliable transportation with safe vehicle
- Provide 1-year driving record with no more than 3 points
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Mandt System training
- MTTP (Medication Training or similar)
- Experience working with people with IDD/DD preferred but not required
