Job Summary
Monitor care provided to residents and report observations to the immediate supervisor. Document resident care information as directed and attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops. Assist in the onboarding of new staff while strictly following Infection Prevention and Control policies. Maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by adhering to sanitation standards and geriatric care needs. This role supports the delivery of high-quality, home-like care across AgeCare's communities in Alberta, BC, and Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents
- Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques
- Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents
- Must follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures
