Job Summary
PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER position in Oshawa, ON. Provides direct personal and nursing care to residents, including assistance with ambulation, feeding, bathing, grooming, and participation in activity programs. Supports residents and families, delivers care per nursing care plans, adheres to policies, and documents care activities. Requires PSW program completion with at least 600 hours, and English-speaking communication. Includes requirement for Vulnerable Sector Check and TB screening; in-person day shifts; hourly pay in CAD; casual/part-time flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Completed PSW Program meeting appropriate standards and minimum 600 hours (including class and practical experience)
- Experience in long-term care is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation
- Ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- A negative Vulnerable Sector Check completed within 6 months of start date
- Completion of a 2 Step TB Skin Test within the last 12 months
Desired Qualifications
- PSW Program completion meeting standards (Min 600 hours)
- Experience in long-term care considered an asset

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and commitment to quality resident care
