Job Summary
Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support while maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas. Support mobility and encourage participation in social activities, monitoring health changes and reporting them to nursing staff. Deliver specialized care for residents with dementia using appropriate techniques and collaborate with team members to ensure holistic, individualized care.
Required Qualifications
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform safe lifting/moving of residents
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach with respect for dignity and privacy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Commitment to maintaining clean and organized living spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Experience working with persons with disabilities
