Job Summary
Monitor care delivery to residents by observing their condition and reporting findings to the immediate supervisor. Document information regarding resident care as directed and attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops. Assist in the onboarding of new staff and strictly follow Infection Prevention and Control policies. Ensure a safe environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues while maintaining knowledge of geriatric needs and sanitation techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents
- Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques
- Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents
- Must follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures
