Job Summary
Monitor care provided to residents to ensure alignment with established care plans, observing residents and reporting findings to immediate supervisors. Document information regarding resident care as directed and attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops. Assist in the onboarding of new staff while strictly adhering to Infection Prevention and Control policies. Maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues by applying knowledge of geriatric needs, sanitation, and simple bedside treatments. Join a supportive team across over 50 communities dedicated to creating vibrant, home-like atmospheres for aging with dignity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents
- Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques
- Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents
