Job Summary
Personal Support Worker (PSW) at AgeCare Aurora providing care to residents according to care plans, assisting in maintaining a safe environment, monitoring residents and reporting findings, documenting resident information, attending in-service sessions and meetings, assisting in onboarding new staff, and following IPAC policies. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents
- Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques and be knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents
