Job Summary
Assist patients with daily living activities including personal care, household tasks, respite care, and medication assistance. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to care plans while promoting a safe environment through proper body mechanics and transfer techniques. Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients in home and community care settings. This role requires a valid driver's license, a Personal Support Worker certificate, and availability for non-traditional hours. Required Qualifications
- A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of their patients
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
- A valid driver's license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
- Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
- Current vulnerable sector check screening
- A clear background check
