Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal care, household tasks, respite care, and medication assistance while promoting a safe environment through proper body mechanics and transfer techniques. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks adhering to specific care plans, and provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients in home and community settings. This role requires a valid driver's license, current vulnerable sector screening, and a Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent nursing enrollment. Candidates must be available for non-traditional hours including early mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends. CarePartners serves approximately 72,000 patients annually across Ontario through 24 locations, offering competitive wages, paid mileage, and opportunities for continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of their patients
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
- A valid driver's license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
- Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
