Job Summary
Support residents with activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming as per individual plans of care. Provide communication and connection support by assisting with sensory aids, ensure access to mobility devices, and administer prescribed medication under supervision. Offer ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support while delivering oral and dental care. Encourage participation in resident programs and build relationships with residents and their families to enrich daily well-being. Work in a fast-paced long-term care environment at Spencer House in Orillia, serving seniors with dignity and respect.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- Successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

- Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
- Detailed-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and can provide bedside care to residents
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families and general visitors
