Job Summary
Provides personal care to residents under the direction of registered nursing staff, including bathing, skin care, toileting, feeding, dressing, ambulation, and comfort measures; assists with restorative care, activities participation, admission/discharge/transfer, meal service, and safety. Documents resident care activities using PCC software, adheres to department policies, supports infection control and safety, and contributes to an emotionally supportive environment. Requires completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program (Long Term Care Health Act Reg. 47 or equivalent) and a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus Food Handler and First Aid certifications. Part-time position in Tavistock, Ontario, Canada with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker program that meets Long Term Care Health Act: Reg. 47 or equivalent criteria
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler certification
- First Aid certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform tasks necessary for providing personal care (e.g., lifting/transferring clients)
