Job Summary
Provide personal care to assist clients in daily activities and personal hygiene, supporting their physical, social, and emotional needs in a safe, resident-centred manner. Adhere to government standards and the organization's mission while complying with resident rights. Maintain physical stamina through considerable standing, walking, lifting, and bending during permanent day shifts, including weekends and short shifts. Work independently as an active team player, utilizing behavioral management training such as the Gentle Persuasive Approach. Apply before July 31, 2026, at Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, a leading not-for-profit provider of culturally appropriate seniors care across the Greater Toronto Area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
- Current CPR Certificate
- Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
- Ability to speak and converse in Chinese
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in long term care setting
- Behavioural management training (Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), U-First, CPI)
- Computer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office)
- Basic knowledge of Workday
