Personal Support Worker

Participate as a member of the nursing and personal care team, providing care in activities of daily living to residents. Report changes in resident status in Point of Care and carry out direction from registered staff. Deliver personal care to residents to support optimum physical, social and emotional well-being; communicate effectively with residents, staff and families; provide excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous and pleasant manner; create a home-like atmosphere; observe and report changes in residents’ status; record data (e.g. flow sheets); share responsibility for equipment and residents’ belongings; work cooperatively with team members; receive direction from registered staff; participate in quality improvement activities as directed; perform other duties as assigned.
