Job Summary
Assist clients with bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, ambulation, feeding, and toileting while performing light housekeeping and medication reminders. Conduct physio exercises and position clients according to therapist care plans. Report health changes or safety risks to supervisors and perform delegated tasks as directed. Maintain client bedding and ensure holistic, client-centered care. Must hold a PSW or DSW certificate, valid CPR, and a reliable vehicle with $2 million liability insurance. Available for 20 hours weekly and every second weekend. Salary ranges from $25.50 to $26.75 per hour with evening and weekend premiums. Recent graduates and returning professionals may qualify for up to $30,000 in government incentives.
Required Qualifications
- PSW or DSW Certificate or a successful first year nursing completion
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
- Valid driver's license
- Car insurance with a liability of $2 million
- Valid CPR
- Step 2 TB Test (Completed within the last 2 years)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (less than 3 months old)
- Must be available to work every second weekend
- Must be available for 20 hours per week minimum
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written)
- Able to stand, bend, squat, kneel and reach freely
- Able to freely lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to travel up to 45 minutes if needed
- Use of an insured reliable vehicle
