Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation while providing companionship and transportation. Support ambulation, light housekeeping, and errands, ensuring medication reminders and adherence to care plans. Document all activities and coordinate with the Care Coordinator for supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for territory travel. This role offers flexible scheduling, competitive wages, and opportunities for continuing education within Qualicare Homecare's Durham location.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
- NACC Certified
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Ability to travel around location territory
- Access to Internet/mobile phone
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
