Job Summary
Assist clients with bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, ambulation, feeding, and toileting as outlined in their service plans. Perform light housekeeping, change bedding, and support physio exercises per therapist care plans. Report health changes or safety risks to supervisors and administer medication only as delegated by a nurse or supervisor. Maintain a kind, compassionate approach while traveling up to 45 minutes to client homes. Work every second weekend for a minimum of 20 hours per week with a vehicle and valid driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate (or equivalent) from a licensed Canadian educational institution, DSW Certificate or a successful first year nursing completion
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
- Vehicle required with valid driver's license
- Car insurance with a liability of $2 million
- Valid CPR
- Step 2 TB Test (Completed within the last 2 years)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (less than 3 months old)
- Must be available to work every second weekend
- Must be available for 20 hours per week minimum
