Job Summary
Provide personal support services to individuals and families in community and retirement home settings, assisting clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, mouth care, and skin integrity checks. Collaborate with healthcare teams and families in care planning, perform bedside care as directed, and assist with catheter and colostomy bag maintenance. Conduct light housekeeping, including cleaning client laundry and bedding when required. Requires a Personal Support Worker Certificate, valid Ontario driver's license, CPR, and TB test. Available for morning (6AM-2PM) and evening (3PM-11PM) shifts on two weekdays and every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or Diploma
- Valid Ontario Driver's license and insurance
- Current CPR certificate
- Current TB test
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
- Ability to use mechanical equipment (hoyer lifts) when required
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective observation and listening skills
Desired Qualifications
- Palliative Experience is an asset
