Job Summary
Provide resident care per established care plans, monitor and document resident status, and assist in maintaining a safe environment. Support onboarding of new staff, adhere to IPAC policies and participate in ongoing education. Requires PSW certificate/diploma and knowledge of sanitation and geriatric care; familiarity with Ontario standards and caregiver guidelines. Salary range $26.66-$28.63 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents
- Understanding basics of sanitation and cleaning techniques and knowledge of geriatric resident needs
