Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and toileting. Support mobility and transfers, help with household duties like laundry and meal preparation, and provide companionship. Observe and report changes in client condition or safety concerns while maintaining confidentiality and following infection control guidelines. Complete required documentation accurately and respond appropriately to emergencies. Work independently in home settings with ongoing supervision and access to a supportive office team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire
- CNA (active or inactive) accepted
- Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities
- Strong communication skills
- Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent)
Desired Qualifications
