Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and toileting while supporting mobility and transfers. Help with household duties such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping as outlined in each client's care plan. Provide companionship, observe and report changes in condition or safety concerns, and complete required documentation accurately. Follow infection control guidelines, maintain client confidentiality, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Treat all clients with dignity and respect while maintaining dependable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire
- CNA (active or inactive) accepted
- Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities
- Strong communication skills
- Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent)
Desired Qualifications
