Job Summary
Join MaineTouch LLC as a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care for adults and seniors in Blaine, ME. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care tasks, mobility and transfers, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, observing changes in condition, documenting accurately, and following the client’s plan of care and safety guidelines. Training is provided; prior certification in Maine is valued, with opportunities for certification upgrades (CRMA, CNA, DSP). Flexible full-time or part-time schedules with day, evening, weekend, and occasional overnight shifts; mileage reimbursement may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire
- CNA (active or inactive) accepted
- No experience required - training and support provided
- Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities
- Strong communication skills
- Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent)
- Hours: flexible scheduling and various shifts available
