Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and toileting while supporting mobility and transfers. Help with household duties such as light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, and provide companionship and conversation. Observe and report changes in a client's condition or safety concerns, and complete required documentation accurately. Follow infection control guidelines, maintain confidentiality, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Treat all clients with dignity and respect while adhering to assigned service plans and MaineTouch policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Active PSS certification in the State of Maine
- Willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire
- CNA (active or inactive)
- Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities
- Strong communication skills
- Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
