Job Summary
Prepare online customer orders by selecting quality products with speed and accuracy, organizing items for timely pick-up. Identify out-of-stocks, recommend substitutions, and promote advertised specials while ensuring accurate checkout totals through proper weighing, keying, and scanning. Place orders in storage at proper food temperatures, retrieve items before customer arrival, and bag, load, and deliver orders to vehicles. Maintain a customer-service-oriented attitude by answering questions, responding to complaints, and using suggestive selling initiatives to promote sales. Clean workspaces, cash wraps, and spills to ensure a safe, sanitary environment. Handle objects carefully to avoid damage and remain current on product knowledge, food safety, and tender policies including checks, credit, and EBT. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays while maintaining high accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Six or more months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 16 years of age required
- 21 years of age required in Louisiana
- TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable
- Basic knowledge of cash register
- Basic mathematical and counting skills
- Basic knowledge of food quality standards
- Basic knowledge of temperature and refrigeration standards for selected products
- Ability to determine ideal ripeness in produce
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with customers and partners
- Ability to remain courteous with customers at all times
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus
- Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling
- Continuously required to use fine finger movements
- Continuously required to stand or walk
- Frequently required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs
