Job Summary
The Personal Lines Account Representative role involves bilingual English/Japanese interpretation of policy inquiries from agents and insureds, providing coverage consultation and risk management, handling policy changes and cancellations, and coordinating with claims when interpretation is needed. The position requires developing knowledge of personal lines coverages (auto, homeowners, fire, excess liability, boat), processing activities in the Applied Agency system, and delivering customer support via phone, fax, and email. Office-based with hybrid arrangement (5 days/week in office during training, moving to 4 days in office; in-office requirement noted). Must hold a Property & Casualty Agent License and communicate effectively in English and Japanese.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree & Experience: High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 3 years of insurance experience is required
- Property & Casualty Agent License required
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese (bi-lingual role)
- Knowledge of Applied Agency Management System preferred
- “LI-Hybrid” indicates hybrid in-office arrangement
- In-office requirement: 5 days in the office until training is complete (approx 6 months) then 4 days in the office
