Personal Lines Account Manager

Job Summary
Proactively manage a personal lines book of business as the primary client relationship manager, handling account servicing and maintenance; respond to inquiries about coverages, policy changes, and general insurance questions; manage billing, service requests, and endorsements; serve as liaison between customer and carrier to ensure mutually beneficial relationships; oversee renewal/expiration lists, review loss information, obtain updates, process renewal applications, and negotiate renewal pricing when needed; maintain knowledge of company systems and offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School degree
- 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone or email
- Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques
- Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills
- Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360
