Job Summary
The Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Claims Analyst is responsible for investigating and analyzing commercial Michigan PIP and bodily injury auto claims, both litigated and non-litigated. Key responsibilities include verifying coverage, evaluating liability and damages, determining compensability, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with agents, policyholders, and legal counsel. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Michigan PIP claims and strong analytical and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years Michigan PIP claims experience
- Bodily injury experience preferred
- Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated successful relationship building skills
- Proven negotiation skills
Desired Qualifications
- AIC or SCLA certification preferred
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Excel
