Job Summary
Own and drive an active PI caseload across pre-litigation and litigation in Northern Virginia; move cases from treatment through demand, negotiation, and settlement or trial verdict; conduct client consultations, depositions, mediations, hearings, and jury trials; appear at status conferences and motions; collaborate with a dedicated support team; review and approve demand packages and settlement agreements; negotiate with insurance adjusters and defense counsel; coordinate with paralegals on discovery and trial prep; maintain case notes and deadlines; proactively communicate with clients; participate in firm strategy reviews and performance check-ins. Three tiers offered with tier-specific base salaries and on-plan total compensation, plus quarterly commissions, origination bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and 3 weeks PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Tier 1: Active Virginia bar; 5+ years plaintiff PI litigation; 3+ first-chair jury trials to verdict in PI; active bar in Maryland, DC, New York, or Florida in addition to Virginia
- Tier 2: 3+ years plaintiff PI experience with active litigation; high-volume caseload management; jury trial experience preferred
- Tier 3: 2+ years litigation experience; active Virginia bar; strong advocacy skills; desire to build long-term PI career; willingness to learn quickly
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred (not required)
