Job Summary
Personal Injury Attorney role managing a personal docket of 80–100 cases primarily in pre-litigation, handling motor vehicle collisions, dog bites, premises liability, and occasional medical malpractice. Draft and negotiate demand letters and settlement packages; file and litigate pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial prep; maintain regular client communication; coordinate with paralegal and support staff. Requires 5+ years of legal practice with an active Nebraska or Iowa license; growth-position with emphasis on independent case management, client trust-building, and strategic litigation execution. Strong written/verbal communication, high emotional intelligence, and ability to balance empathy with assertiveness; stability in prior roles and proven courtroom/negotiation presence.
Required Qualifications
- Active license in Nebraska or Iowa
- 5+ years of legal practice experience
- Experience with plaintiff-side PI is a plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and client-facing maturity
- Ability to balance empathy with assertiveness
- Stability in prior roles (no frequent job-hopping)
- Clear, confident courtroom and negotiation presence
- Active bar admission in Nebraska or Iowa
