Job Summary
Represent clients in personal injury matters from intake through resolution, managing active caseloads involving motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, and other injury claims. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, then take and defend depositions while preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. Negotiate with insurance companies to obtain favorable settlements and communicate regularly with clients to provide trusted legal guidance. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve the best possible outcomes, appearing in Virginia courts as needed to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia Bar license
- 1+ year of personal injury attorney experience
- Full-time, on-site opportunity in either Fairfax, Virginia or Virginia Beach, Virginia
Desired Qualifications
- Ideal experience level is 1 to 6 years as an associate attorney
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Courtroom or deposition experience
