Job Summary
Develop and maintain membership for the Wellness Program while performing and documenting StayFit services under the Rehabilitation Director's guidance. Deliver tailored exercise plans and group fitness sessions through the StayFit and LiveWell programs to improve residents' health and fitness goals. Assist with marketing the StayFit program to increase membership and discuss, motivate, and teach members to maintain their strength. Meet efficiency standards and participate in department and facility meetings. This role supports Legacy's mission to promote wellness and independence among senior residents. The position offers a desirable Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Personal training or group fitness certification – nationally recognized and accredited organization
- CPR/AED Certification must be current
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- College graduate preferred with bachelor's degree in related field of study such as exercise science, kinesiology, etc.
- Preferred 1+ year personal training or group fitness experience
- Previous experience with senior population desirable
- Personal training or group fitness certification – nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred or willing to attain (i.e. ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
