Job Summary
Provide personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at military installations, including individual counseling, briefings, and referrals; develop spending plans for extended absences; create educational materials and coordinate Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle; utilize virtual counseling tools and secure communications; collaborate with installation leadership and DoD points of contact; adhere to DoD protocols and OCI requirements; requires relevant financial counseling credentials (AFC/CFP/ChFC) and U.S. citizenship with potential bilingual English/Spanish capability; strong emphasis on client education, outreach, and program coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent (Associate's degree with 4 years of experience or high school diploma with 6 years of experience considered)
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English
- If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Must pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for OCI process
- Must have one of AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications (AFC, CFP, or ChFC)
- Driver License in-state valid ( DL - In State )
