Job Summary
Provide personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at military installations. Deliver comprehensive financial counseling including one-on-one sessions, briefings/presentations, and referrals; assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences; develop and distribute financial materials; coordinate and lead Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle; utilize virtual counseling methods (web, secure chat, video teleconferencing) as required; collaborate with installation leadership and POCs to ensure program within scope; maintain DoD protocol compliance and participate in supervision and contract activities. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience), 3+ years of financial counseling experience, U.S. citizenship with fluent English (Spanish bilingual preferred per contract), and applicable AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications; ability to obtain security clearance per OCI requirements. This role is based in Tulsa, OK, with duties at military installations and may involve virtual/remote communication per program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizen and fluent English
- If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish
- One of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Must be able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
