Job Summary
Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military installations. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, briefings/presentations, developing spending plans, creating educational materials, coordinating and delivering Personal Financial Management classes/workshops (including topics across the military lifecycle), using virtual counseling and secure communications, and adhering to DoD guidance and OCI processes. Collaborates with installation leadership and POCs to ensure program within scope; may conduct outreach and referral activities and participate in supervision and quality improvement activities. Requires U.S. citizenship; may require bilingual English/Spanish; may require certifications AFC, CFP, or ChFC; ability to obtain Tier 2 investigation and comply with security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizen
- Fluent English
- Bilingual in English and Spanish if required
- AFC - Accredited Financial Counselor OR CFP - Certified Financial Planner OR ChFC - Chartered Financial Consultant
- Driver License, Valid In State
