Job Summary
Provide personal financial services and counseling to service members and their families at military installations. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive financial counseling (including one-on-one sessions, consultations with commanders or staff, and referrals), conducting briefings and presentations, developing spending plans for extended absences, and creating financial materials. Coordinate with installation points of contact to ensure program scope meets installation needs; facilitate Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle; support virtual counseling via web-based, secure chat, or video conferencing; manage DoD protocol-required duties and participate in supervision and contract activities. Requires collaboration with leadership, ability to use multiple communication modes, and willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher required (may consider associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizen
- English fluent (bilingual in English and Spanish may be required by contract)
- AFC - Accredited Financial Counselor or CFP - Certified Financial Planner or ChFC - Chartered Financial Consultant
- Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Must have valid in-state Driver License (DL)
- Security disclosures/OCI process compliance
