Job Summary
Provide individual financial counseling and management services to service members and their families, assisting them with spending plans for deployment and extended absences. Deliver educational workshops and briefings on financial topics across the military lifecycle, including arrival, deployment cycles, and transition planning. Develop and distribute tailored financial education materials while utilizing virtual platforms to offer remote counseling when authorized. Coordinate Public Financial Management workshops in accordance with DoDI 1322.34 and manage duty-to-warn situations per Department of Defense protocols. Maintain communication with leadership to report installation trends and needs. This full-time temping position requires a U.S. citizen with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, an accredited financial counselor certification, and a Tier 2 background investigation. On-site work occurs at military installations with potential for virtual delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of financial counseling experience
- BACHELOR'S DEGREE
- Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- U.S. citizen
- fluent in English
- valid driver's license
- favorably adjudicated Tier 2 background investigation
