Job Summary
Provide personal financial counseling services at military installations to service members and their families. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, coordinating with commanders or other staff, delivering briefings and workshops, developing spending plans, creating educational materials, offering virtual counseling options, and ensuring program scope compliance with DoD directives. Works with installation leadership and POC to meet installation needs; delivers financial education across lifecycle events; may conduct or participate in classes/workshops; utilizes secure virtual communication channels; adheres to OCI processes and DoD security requirements. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (or acceptable combination of education and experience), 3+ years of financial counseling experience, U.S. citizenship, language ability in English (and Spanish if required by contract), and professional certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC. Salary range is $58,440 to $93,500 annually with potential benefits; standard Magellan Health equal opportunity and security responsibilities apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizen
- Speak fluent English
- If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish
- Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Must pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for OCI
- One of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC
- Driver license (DL) in-state preferred
- Security requirements and compliance with applicable law and policy
