Job Summary
Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military installations. Offer one-on-one counseling, consultations with command or staff, briefings and presentations, and referrals; assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences; develop and distribute informational financial materials; coordinate and publicize Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering military lifecycle topics; utilize virtual counseling or electronic modes (web-based chat, video teleconference) as authorized; adhere to DoD protocols and coordinates with installation POCs to ensure scope and needs are met; communicate with leadership in supervision and participate in training and quality improvement activities; perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizen
- English fluency
- Optional bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract
- Ability to obtain a favorable adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Ability to pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for OCI
- AFC or CFP or ChFC certification
- Driver license in relevant state (DL) if required
