Job Summary
Deliver personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at military installations, including one-on-one sessions, briefings/presentations, and referrals; develop spending plans for extended absences; create and distribute informational financial materials; coordinate DoD-aligned financial education programs (e.g., across the military lifecycle) and adapt delivery to virtual formats when needed; collaborate with installation leadership and POCs to ensure program scope and needs are met; maintain DoD/OCI compliance and participate in supervision and training activities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent combination: associate degree + 4 years)
- U.S. citizen; fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract
- Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 2 background investigation
- Must pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI)
- AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification
- Valid driver’s license (DL) in state
- Compliance with security responsibilities and applicable laws and policies
