Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor, PFC, Oklahoma

Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families at military installations. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, consultations with commanders or staff, conducting briefings/presentations, and referrals as needed. Collaborate with installation leadership and POCs to ensure program scope and needs are met. Develop spending plans for extended absences, create and distribute financial materials, and coordinate a range of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle (arrival at first duty station, pre-/post-deployment, and related events). Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication when appropriate. Manage DoD protocols and participate in supervision and contract activities. All other duties as assigned by leadership. Requires a combination of education and experience per policy; minimum of 3+ years of financial counseling experience; bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent substitute); certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC; U.S. citizenship; English fluency; potential bilingual English/Spanish; ability to undergo OCI process and disclosures.
