Job Summary
Provide full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and families at Idaho installations, including one-on-one counseling, briefings, presentations, and referral resources. Conduct workshops and seminars covering topics such as arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and career events. Develop informational materials and coordinate publicized classes while utilizing virtual counseling modes when authorized. Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences and manage duty to warn situations per DoD protocol. Communicate with leadership, participate in supervision, and share installation trends. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of financial counseling experience, and AFC/CFP/ChFC certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree
- High school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Fluent English
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (if required by the contract)
- Favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
- Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) certification
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) certification
- Valid Driver's License in State
