Personal Finance Advisor

Job Summary
As a Personal Finance Advisor, you’ll develop and maintain lasting relationships with members and clients, listen to needs, and offer personalized financial strategies. You’ll drive results by recommending investments, loans and insurance, balance member satisfaction with business objectives and risk management, and collaborate with partners to design integrated financial plans. You’ll stay current on market trends, participate in community outreach, and represent the caisse in community activities. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with a client base including young people, and bilingual proficiency in French and English.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency of English
- Knowledge of current financial, economic, political and legislative events
- Knowledge of all products and services aimed at caisse members and those offered by Desjardins Business Centres
- Knowledge of the integration of financial data into computer systems
- Knowledge of debt management
- Knowledge of compliance with legislation respecting the distribution of financial products and services
- Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
- Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards related to products and services offered by the caisse
- Knowledge of operating procedures pertaining to investment and financing activities Desjardins business processes
- Knowledge of service standards
- Knowledge of the techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications
- Available to work Monday to Friday, including one evening per week
