Job Summary
Provide direct personal care and homemaker services to clients in their residences, including bathing assistance, feeding, dressing, medication reminding, and transferring. Travel to client homes using a personal vehicle and take accurate vital signs while maintaining appropriate interpersonal communications. Complete and maintain training in elder abuse, HIPAA, and infection control; notify supervisors of any changes in client conditions or pain complaints. Ensure documentation is completed per agency policy and adhere to federal, state, and local laws. Maintain confidentiality and support a culture of safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to pass a background check, criminal and motor vehicle
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- A valid current driver's license and valid automobile insurance, showing you as a covered driver
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- CPR Certification, preferred
- Additional languages preferred
