Job Summary
Senior Skills Trainer for Personal Care Attendant Program educates consumers on managing consumer-directed hands-on care and performs department-wide tasks related to skills training. Role involves traveling within a 60-mile radius of home, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided). In-person 2-day orientation in Stoughton, MA. Responsibilities include follow-up on functional skills training, assessing consumers, training consumers/surrogates as outlined in the Mass Health Service Agreement and PCM Contract, maintaining confidentiality, attending trainings and meetings, and ensuring documentation and reporting within required timelines. Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills are essential, with experience in disability services and knowledge of PCA programs preferred. May require travel and use of Dayforce/Outlook; includes benefits, sign-on bonus, and supportive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience providing services for people with disabilities
- Knowledge of PCA programs
- Experience or education in teaching or counseling is helpful
- Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook
