Job Summary
Senior Skills Trainer for the Personal Care Attendant Program who educates consumers on managing consumer-directed hands-on care and trains surrogates in accordance with the Mass Health Service Agreement and PCM Contract. Responsibilities include following up on functional skills training, assessing capabilities to manage PCA services, maintaining confidentiality, completing required documentation, attending trainings, and providing ongoing support for EVV, intake, re-evaluations, and progress notes. Must understand program policies, Mass Health regulations, and the Independent Living philosophy, and report suspected abuse to the Disabled Person Protection Commission; travel within assigned service area is required. Proficiency in communication, organization, and writing; basic computer skills; background checks required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred with GED or High School Diploma required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; GED or High School Diploma required
- Experience providing services for people with disabilities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and ability to navigate databases
- Travel required; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
